Shimon Moore is known as Shim, a rock musician, songwriter, and guitarist known for his inflammatory songs and wild energy that will be close to any fan of rock music.
Shimon Moore was born on November 11, 1982, in Sydney, Australia. From a young age, Shimon liked the wild and unrestrained nature of rock music. Rock musicians were not afraid to show in their songs both the forbidden sides of the time and spread, especially among young people, a bright and wild lifestyle. The young people could not help but like this, and Shimon was one of them. But unlike just being a fan, he decided to become a rock musician himself.
When he was a student in Mosman high school, Shimon met Emma Anzai, with whom they turned out to have much in common, but the main love for both at the time was music. And as it turned out, they were united not only by a love of music but also of rock music. While Shimon studied and improved his guitar playing, Emma played bass guitar. One of the bands they were inspired by at the time was the Australian rock band Silverchair. Already in 1997, the two will create a group of Sick Puppies which in the future will gain popularity, which they did not even dream of.
Initially, the group did not have such an official name. Shimon and Emma performed together, doing covers, and singing songs of various popular rock bands, but after a while, they realized that it was time to move on, and decided to move to a new level. Taking another member, Chris Mileski, who became the drummer, they finally started writing their songs and officially bringing Sick Puppies to the world.
The beginning of development was difficult, because the release of their own songs, not to mention the release of the album, is not cheap. This forced the participants to earn their own money so that they could fully release their first album. However, not everything was so bad. Shimon's father was a musician himself, and helped them finance the first EP, which became "Dog's Breakfast".
Since the 2000s, they have been able to steadily increase their popularity both in Australia and overseas, but in 2014, Shimon announced that he was leaving the group. The long 17 years in the music business did not go unnoticed, and after gaining experience and understanding what kind of music Shimon wants to make, he returned to the stage with a solo project Shim. He debuted with a solo repertoire on May 16, 2018, with his debut single "Hallelujah” (which was later released in the video, it showed his symbolic return as a solo artist). Four days after the release of his debut single, he performed on Rock on the Range, where he performed in front of a live audience for the first time since the beginning of his solo career.
Later, on September 14, 2018, his first debut album was released, which is called "Shim". It contains songs both similar to the old style of the artist (during performances in Sick Puppies) and in the new style that clearly separates his solo project from the past. Currently, Shimon continues to develop his solo career by perfecting his own style, releasing music videos (among which are already music videos for the song "Hallelujah" and "Crucified"), and conducts streams for viewers and fans, which often shows the process of writing songs and shows how it do it right. It is safe to say that we will hear new and even more inflammatory songs from Shim more than once.
It is unknown at this time when Shim will release his next album, but it will be around 2022. If you want to see his interview or live performance, you can always find them on CEEK. If you want to see what Shimon is in a normal conversation, you can always visit the Twitch channel "The Hollywood Rebellion" where he often creates certain elements of songs (music or shows how to write lyrics).
