Sarah Rogo is a relatively new artist. Sarah is a very bright performer who performs in the genres of blues, soul, and Americano.

She is a songwriter and plays the guitar herself. Sarah was born in New England but dreamed of living somewhere near the sea since childhood. Her dream will come true in the future because now she’s building her career in Carlsbad, California. This allowed her to fulfill one of her childhood dreams - surfing. From the same childhood, Sarah was fond of music. She was attracted to various genres, but the blues fell into her soul. The girl loved this genre so much that it forced her to build her career around it.

Of course, like any professional musician, she did not just copy the genre. Her own style has allowed her to slightly transform ordinary traditional blues into something that listeners of almost any age can enjoy. Sarah adds young lyrical themes, folk themes, and relaxing soul motifs to traditional blues. Years of guitar training and songwriting allow her to masterfully create both relaxing motifs and fun dancing while constantly leaving enough space for lyrics that people can understand and enjoy.

As a child, Sarah spent a lot of time in the public library, where she found a lot of CDs. As she wondered what was on them, Sarah decided to take them home and listen. The music on these discs became the first inspiration for creating songs and the writing of lyrics. In addition, she spent a lot of time with a neighboring family who was from India. Their culture later, as Sarah admitted, also influenced the writing of some songs. After that, the girl decided to immerse herself in the genre of blues, jazz, and classical orchestra in much more detail. Despite this, the first attempts to write their own music did not have a specific genre. These were times for experiments without a precise musical structure or belonging to one genre. It was these experiments that allowed her to find her own style of performance, which is with her to this day, although it continues to develop.

In her late teens, Sarah met people who would change her life for the better, namely guitarist Paul Rishell and blues guitarist Woody Mann. They introduced her to many artists, including Led Zeppelin, Bessie Smith, Blind Willie Johnson, etc. In addition, they agreed to take her on tour. Such a journey helped her in many aspects of studying the lives of artists. She improved her guitar skills, learned to write better songs, and saw what life was like on the road. After that, she became self-confident and enhanced her skills enough to start a solo career.

Soon after moving to California, she met manager Mike Lembo at a songwriting expo. In 2018, Sarah signed a contract with Funzalo Records. This collaboration allowed us to quickly release a collection of her songs with a live performance, which allowed people to notice her. One of the features that distinguish Sarah from many other artists can be called a virtuoso guitar playing. Often in her songs, you can hear not only the standard chords but also unique guitar slides. She was able to learn to play the guitar so virtuously due to many factors. She started playing as a child, constantly improving, and a very important factor was her experience touring with Woody Mann and Paul Rishell. One of such significant steps was the release of the studio acoustic album "Smoke and Water" in 2019. To this day, Sarah is preparing major projects, including solo songs, collections, and a full-fledged album, and it seems that her career will only go forward.

In general, if you like genres such as blues or rock in their more relaxed and original form, Sarah Rogo will be an excellent choice for you. If you know how to play the guitar, you will definitely emphasize something new in almost any of its performances and even apply it to your music. Ordinary music lovers will undoubtedly like Sarah's songs with their lyrics, each telling a unique, unusual and most importantly, personal story that will be familiar to most people.
