RYDYR

Cole Pendery or better known as RYDYR is an American singer who performs mainly in the pop genre. 

He was born on February 22, 1996, in Texas. From an early age, Cole began to fall in love with music. In the small town where he grew up, music was like a door to a completely different world for him. Both his parents and his sister always listened to the music around him, although it was completely different. While his parents listened mostly to classic rock bands such as AC/DC, Styx, Guns N ’Roses, and others, his sister listened to more youthful music such as Drake, Eminem, and Lil Wayne. At that time he did not know that combining the new and the old would become his calling card in the world of music. 

Cole tried many different activities as a child. One of such first classes was a circle of acting in the 7th grade. At first, he liked to express his artistry in skits, but later the desire to do music won. In the eighth grade, his interest in music was noticed, but later he was able to become the president of the school choir. He did not leave sports. For 10 years he played football, where, according to him, he first understood the importance of team play, which he then used more than once in his own life. Cole's parents saw his desire to reach heights in music and later moved to Los Angeles to fulfill that dream. Although the path to success was not easy, after a while he was able to join the youth group IM5, which will later become very popular, and whose music will gather millions of views and listens on various platforms. The stable success of this group lasted for 4 years. At the age of 20, having tasted fame, he realized that he had gained the necessary invaluable experience to start his own solo career. 

Beginning in 2018, and over the next two years, he began writing solo songs that would later become the first in his career and be included in a mini-album that would become his pass to the world of show business. During the creation of these songs, RYDYR was able to find his style. The process of creating the first singles was also interesting for him. He worked on them in his home studio, inviting other musicians and his friends. When the original versions were ready, together with the producer they recorded these songs and created his first full-fledged EP. 

The first single that could be said to launch RYDYR's career was "Dream Alone". Although in general, it was a pop song, it showed clear signs of the influence of rock songs from his childhood. This song has shown that he is not going to stay in the standard pop genre but plans to add something unusual to his songs in the future. The single that followed was "See You Around". The song carried a message that is more important than ever. In the age of social networks, everyone tries to be who they really are not. In the pursuit of insults, people began to forget who they were and who they were. This song conveys a simple but important motive - to always remain yourself, and not shy away from who you are. In this song, as in the previous one, you can see a slight influence of classic rock music, mixed with modern pop motifs.  

In addition to music, Cole's favorite pastime is travel and video games. He said he played for Fortnite, Rocket League and the little-known game Pickleball. Such classes help him relax and return to work with new strength. After a successful solo career, Cole was able to create his own label, Shadowwood Records, which was a great way to become a truly independent artist and continue to create music exactly as it was intended by the author. As RYDYR himself shared, a lot of new music is planned in the future, which will constantly evolve and feel new, as well as larger projects that will surprise listeners.
