Looking at the history of Asante Kotoko, sometimes you are really surprised because, at the time of the founding of this football club, only a few people hoped that they could really become champions. Despite this, the team continued to train to the best of its ability to eventually prove to everyone that Ghana has some of the best players on the continent. With the emergence of professional football tournaments in Ghana, such as the FA Cup and Ghana Premier League, Asante Kotoko began to demonstrate a truly incredible game, thus quickly becoming the champions of both of the above-mentioned tournaments.

For the next decades, the team continued to show results that hardly anyone expected. Victory after victory, title after title, they continued to conquer national tournaments until Asante Kotoko reached a new level in 1970. The reason for this was the victory in the African Cup of Champions Clubs (or CAF Champions League), which is still one of the most important international tournaments in Africa. They repeated the same success in 1983, proving once and for all to all skeptics that Ghana would remain a favorite for a long time to come.

Although a lot of time has passed, nothing has changed. Despite the fact that the composition of the team has changed many times, their principles, devotion to training, and, of course, the indomitable fighting spirit remains unchanged.
