Pharrell Williams is an American singer and rapper who has formed a duo production label ‘’The Neptunes’’ with who he has produced many singles for a different amount of artists and also was the lead vocalist of N*E*R*D.

Pharrell started his career mainly by succeeding in his high school talent show, where they were discovered by producer Teddy Riley whose studio was pretty close to their high school, and after he and his band members finished high school they have signed a contract with Riley. While working with Riley, William managed to produce verse and helped make Wreckx-N-Effect S 1992 hit "Rump Shaker". Later in 1994 Williams and Hugo wanted to make their products while using their old name ‘’The Neptunes’’ and assistant-produced "Tonight's The Night" from Blackstreet's.

Sometime later in 1997 Mase’s song ‘’Lookin At Me’’ from the album “Harlem World” gave them their first dose of exposure due to the song’s popularity. It reached the 36th position in the Billboard 100 Hot chart. After getting that small amount of success in 2000 they proceeded to produce a new song
‘’I Just Wana Love U (Give It 2 Me)’’ which had William featured in it that they made for Jay-Z album ‘’The Dynasty: Roc La Familia’’ which got released as the studio’s first-ever album.

All of this has attracted the attention of Brittney Spears and in 2001 Brittney with the help of ‘’The Neptunes’’ released her 3rd studio album ‘’Britney’’ which was a massive success since the album has reached number 1 spot in the Billboard 200. Also the very same year Williams group N*E*R*D has released their very first album ‘’In Search of…’’. They didn’t like how their album sounded, so they re-recorded the entire album, but this time with the help of band Spymob.

The recording of the album with the band took a year and in 2002 they have released their album which reached number one in the United States. In August of the same year, the studio got nominated for two awards which they won: the Source Awards and the Billboard Music Awards. In 2003 Neptunes released a self credited album called ‘’The Neptunes Present... Clones’’ with a large number of songs with the inclusion of remixes from various artists which helped them chart in the U.S. Billboard 200 Albums Chart. At some point in 2003, there was a survey done and it turns out that The Neptunes were producing 20% of all songs on British radio and with the US it was 43%!!!

N*E*R*D’s 2nd album called ‘’Fly or Die’’ that got released in 2004. Their public fame and standing increased, even more, when they performed at the 2004 Grammy Awards Beatles's "I Saw Her Standing There". In September of 2004, Williams was featured with Snoop to make ‘’Drop It Like It's Hot’’
which would be awarded the best rap song of the decade and would be Williams’s first number-one single.

Pharrell would release his first solo album somewhere around 2005 ‘’In My Mind’. The opening track was recorded with popular singer Gwen Stefani. It was received fairly poorly in the US but Pharrell had a much better result overseas and in the UK it got much better reviews and after that from those dates and onto 2006, he would produce 4 more songs: “Angel” (In Europe Only), “Number One”, “Mamacita” and “That Girl”.

In April 2008, Madonna released her eleventh album, ‘’Hard Candy’’ which featured vocals from Williams and production from Neptune’s studios on several tracks. Of course, production remains one of Farrell's top priorities, which is why he continues to work with a huge number of musicians to this day.

In September 2009, Williams has been credited for co-writing and producing the song "Fresh Out the Oven" by Jennifer Lopez. In 2010 Pharrell worked on a couple of soundtracks for the animated movie ‘’Despicable Me”.

In 2011 Williams decided to collaborate with the singer Adam Lambert, and he ended up co-writing two tracks for Lambert's album Trespassing, which was released in May 2012, including track and "Kickin' In". Williams also collaborated with Pittsburgh rapper Mac Miller on the “Pink Slime” EP. Together with amazing film score composer Hans Zimmer, Pharell produced and even composed music for 84th Academy Awards event.

In July 2013 for the record there had been only 137 singles in UK chart history to have sold more than 1 million copies; that month, Williams managed to reach the two million-sellers mark with his songs "Get Lucky" and "Blurred Lines" that also made him first to hold the 1st and 2nd place with his songs in the chart.

After that, he made a song for the ‘’Despicable Me 2’’ movie called ‘’Happy’’ which was featured in a 24-hour video which was Pharrell’s first 24-hour music video.
