NINET

Ninet Tayeb, who is mostly known as Ninet, was named one of the hottest artists of Israel. 

She is a singer-songwriter, as well as an actress and model that succeeded in breaking into the US music market. Ninet has released 5 albums, wherein one of them is in English. She worked with such artists as Steven Wilson, Cyndi Lauper, The Dead Daisies, Gary Lucas, and others. She has got over 10 awards, including The Israeli Music Channel Awards and MTV Europe Music Award. In addition to music awards, Ninet also won Best Actress in A Daily Drama by Golden Screen Awards. It is a very strong woman who set a course to the international stage after receiving almost all awards in the homeland. 

Nati Ninet Tayeb was born on October 21, 1983, in Kiryat Gat, Israel. She was raised in a family of Sephardic Jewish. Yosef Tayeb, her father, is from Tunisia, and her mother, Marcelle, is from Morocco. Both parents have immigrated to Israel, where she met with each other in order to build a stable and happy family. The couple bore five children, where Ninet is the third. Having nice vocal skills, Ninet had been performing songs from a young age. When she was 20 years old, she started collaborations with famous Israeli artists. In this way, her popularity began rapidly growing. As a result of the woman's starring in the TV series "Hashir Shelanu", her acting career also went up. In 2006, Ninet released her first studio album titled “Barefoot”. The debut album had become platinum in less than one day. Five of its singles reached the top on the national charts. 

Having a lot of ambitions, the young artist didn’t stop working on her next music masterpieces. At that time, the woman’s new studio album “Communicative” had varying success. It got positive feedback from critics, although it displeased a plant of her fans. The album’s singles were mostly written by Ninet and embraced more mature themes. Being disappointed, a lot of people even were throwing stuff while one of the singer’s performing. Sometimes, Ninet gave her performances for audiences of around 20 people. Despite such a fans’ response, the album became a successful musical shift for Ninet at the same time. Very soon, she began to get a new fan audience. Besides, she starred in various film projects, such as Kirot, an internationally successful thriller, and Spring Awakening, an Israeli production.  

Back in that period of time, Ninet had got almost all capable awards as a national Israeli artist. Then she decided to go further and earn music success in the US market too. Thus, in 2012, Ninet released the third album, “Sympathetic Nervous System”, in English. This album was produced by Mike Crossey and recorded in Liverpool at the Motor Museum Studio. It is regarded as one of the best Ninet albums to date. She also started to perform at various events and festivals as a DJ. A year later, Ninet released her fourth album written in Hebrew with the title “All the Animals Knew”. It was produced by Yossi Mizrahi and Idan Rabinovici. Almost all the album’s songs were written by herself.  

By the way, since her collaboration on the album with Yossi Mizrahiin, the couple began their romantic relationship. Thus, after a year of being together, Ninet married the producer in Tel Aviv. The husband helped her to release "What Happened" single in Hebrew that year. Also, the artist managed to release two other singles such as “Paper Parachute” and "Child" in 2015. Those songs made Ninet’s fans waiting for the upcoming album. They were described by critics as very promising, which shows Ninet’s clever production work, combining with haunting vocals and are enriched by energy fulfilling beats. Then, in 2016, she released "Superstar" and "Subservient". At the time, Ninet went to live in the USA, Los Angeles. Additionally, the artist began intensive touring worldwide with the performance of her last releases. After her first international tour in the US, Canada, and Europe, she got a big demand as an "infectious female artist". Ninet also collaborated a lot with other artists such as Gary Luca, Cyndi Lauper, The Jesus and Mary Chain, The Dead Daisies, Robbie Williams, Steven Wilson, featuring their singles or as an opening act and the part of their tours. 

Without stopping workflow, Ninet Tayeb released the fifth album in 2017 and continued worldwide touring. 

 

In 2018, Ninet released a new music video, "Hero", that was filmed in the US. Also, she starred in the Israeli TV series “When Heroes Fly”. In December, Ninet performed with a row of other Israeli artists in the annual Hanukkah celebrations.
