Miley Cyrus

Destiny Hope Cyrus, more famous as Miley Ray Cyrus, was born in Tennessee in 1992 in the family of a country singer and an actress. 

Miley spent her early childhood living on the farm being a Heritage Elementary School pupil. 

The first thought about artistic career came to Miley’s mind at the age of 9, when her family moved to Canada. Her father Billy Ray Cyrus was playing a part in the series “Doc” and it was the reason his daughter wanted to act too. Miley took several attempts, trying herself at acting: she starred in several episodes of the television series with her father. Soon, Miley commenced dealing with singing and acting in the local drama studio “The Armstrong Acting Studio”.  

Miley debuted as a promising actress in Tim Burton's movie under the title “Big Fish”. Without any pauses Miley went to several auditions and got the role in a Disney Channel TV series - “Hannah Montana” as a lead actress. The very filming of the series took several years and, finally, in 2006 it appeared on the screens, with Miley Stuart in the center of it, having two different lives: the first-she is a usual teenager, the second - she is a superstar Hannah Montana.  

The fame and worldwide success of the series made Disney Studio sign a unique contract with Miley, according to which she was engaged in TV, filming, performing and recording music. 

4 years ahead, starting from 2006 Cyrus got voice-over work in the cartoon “Bolt”, “The Replacements”, “The Emperor’s New School” etc. The next serious Miley’s role after Hannah Montana is a schoolgirl Ronny, who has hard times, coming over her parents’ divorce in the film “ The Last Song”. Other movies, where we can observe Miley playing are the following: “LOL”, “So Undercover”, “Justin Bieber: Never Say Never”, “Xpose”, “The Suite Life of Zack and Cody”, “Sex and the City 2”. 

The musical career of the young lady started in 2006 when she recorded her first single “The Best of Both Worlds”, which is the main musical theme of the Hannah Montana series. Miley has also appeared as Hannah at the concerts with an opening act of the band “The Cheetah Girls”.  

The same year talented Miley released her first LP with 9 songs in it. In 2007 with the launch of the 2nd season of “Hannah Montana” Miley signed a contract with a recording studio “Hollywood Records”, aiming to produce 4 discs. The first one under the title “Hannah Montana 2/ Meet Miley Cyrus” was the soundtrack of the 2nd season of the series and the debut long play of Miley at the same time. 1 year later the artist released her first independent studio album “Breakthrough”, which peaked at the US, Canada and Australia hit parades. 

The third studio album of the star “Can’t Be Tamed” was full of lyrical content and Miley’s live performances. Having sold over 106 thousands of copies, the album was on top of the Billboard 200 chart in the US. 

The fourth album of the singer under the hip-hop influence was recorded in RCA Record and produced by Pharrell Williams and Mike Will Made-It. With elements of psychedelic pop, rock and alternative pop music “Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Pets” studio album was released. Being one of the advisors during the 10th season of The Voice show Cyrus was working on her 6th studio album- “Younger Now”. The album includes such hot hits as: “Maliibu”, “Week Without You”, “Bad Mood”, “Inspired”, “Thinkin” etc.  

Besides acting and music career Miley Cyrus is also known as a philanthropist: she donated for Haiti earthquake victims, visited ill fans in the hospitals, attended benefit concerts, supported various charity foundations and campaigns. Additionally, Miley founded the “Happy Hippie Foundation”, helping homeless youth, LGBTQ youth and other people in crisis situations.
