Extremely talented singer Jacquelyn Oforiwaa - Amanfo, who performs under the stage name Joa, was born in the small town of Berekum, which is the Bono Region of Ghana. Religion, namely Christianity, has always been an essential part of Jacquelyn's life. Faith in God and his constant support have repeatedly helped her to overcome difficult times and guide her in the right direction. She was happy working as a nurse, but she realized that something more was missing in her life. Of course, helping people was crucial, but Jacquelyn knew she was capable of something more. It was at this time that music began to reappear in her life. 

Although Jacquelyn did not pay much attention to singing before, she decided to try herself as a singer. The people around her were just amazed on the outside by her powerful voice and sense of music. Jacquelyn herself never for doubted a second in what genre she wants to develop. As already mentioned, faith in God became a tool for overcoming life's troubles, and therefore Gospel immediately became her choice. For many years, songs in this genre have glorified the Lord and all his deeds, thus inspiring people to a noble life. These songs are a real celebration of honor, and therefore they are loved all over the world. In Africa, Gospel songs have a special meaning because here they are sung not only to honor the word of the Lord but also to glorify their own culture. 

Of course, the old traditional performance of Gospel music will be perhaps less interesting to the new generation, so Jacquelyn decided to improve it by adding some elements from other genres. People could hear it in the first full-fledged song, "Miracle God". It was enough to draw people's attention to their work and get a massive number of positive reviews. The blend of Gospel and traditional African styles breathed new life into this music and reached many people with its lyrics and Jacquelyn's pleasant voice. 

Next in line was the second song, "Dear God", which she performed with Nana Amoah. Although it has gained a little less popularity than "Miracle God", this 7-minute track can genuinely be considered a master class in writing and performing Gospel songs. Listening to it is extremely easy to get acquainted with the sincerity of the performance, which will touch even those who are not fans of this genre. 

In 2020, another single was released, namely "Aseda" (feat. Jehoshaphat Acquah). This song also lasted as long as 7 minutes and contained a constant change of performance, which made listening to it more interesting. 

Of course, her constant appearances in churches and some Christian events remain an extremely important factor. There she has the opportunity not only to share her faith in God through songs but also through simple emotional conversations with people. In such an atmosphere, you can immediately understand how nice and easy to communicate Jacquelyn is. 

In late 2020 - early 2021, Jacquelyn decided it was time to create her first album, which was later called "The Love Story". The idea of the album from the very beginning was quite clear. Since this is a Gospel album, its concept is built around glorifying God and spreading Christian values. The album includes many of the previously released signals, as well as new songs recorded specifically for the album. In total, "The Love Story" consists of 13 songs, with a total duration of almost 56 minutes. 

In addition to Jacquelyn Oforiwaa - Amanfo, the album also features artists such as Nana Amoah, Jehoshaphat Acquah, Emmanuel Juddah, and MOG Music. There is one fascinating story connected with MOG Music. Jacquelyn saw her collaboration with this artist in a dream. Taking this as a sign, she turned to her acquaintances in the music industry and asked for help in joining MOG to the song for the album. As we can see now, the result of her joint work was the song "Faithful God". 

Both fans of the singer and ordinary lovers of gospel music were positive about this album. They especially noted the extremely beautiful and powerful vocals from Jacquelyn and the unusual form of the music itself, which is felt in a whole new way. After the release of "The Love Story", the popularity of Jacquelyn Oforiwaa - Amanfo has grown significantly, especially in Ghana. She was invited to various events and concerts. Of course, this was a big step forward for the performer, but her principles, despite the success, remained unchanged. Faith in the Lord and the elucidation of the values ​​of the Christian life are still a top priority for Jacquelyn Oforiwaa - Amanfo, which is why people began to respect her only more. 

Currently, Jacquelyn Oforiwaa - Amanfo continues to do what is close to her soul. Her example shows that neither fame, money, nor any other external factors should affect who you are. Her desire to help others in various ways and steadfastness in her decisions helped Jacquelyn find herself in life and begin to realize her purpose.
