Demi Lovato is an amazing singer, songwriter, actress, best friend of Selena Gomez, and incredibly attractive woman. In total, she managed to win 61 awards from 210 nominations, release 6 studio albums, and star in 16 films and TV shows. 

 

In 2014, Demi Lovato broke the Guinness World Record in the category “Youngest X Factor Judge”. Also, she was double nominated for Grammy Awards for the Best Pop Vocal Album (“Confident”) and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance("Fall In Line" with Christina Aguilera) respectively. The singles of the incredible artist were atop in most popular music charts. Despite her great success in music and television activities, Demi Lovato is a philanthropist. She often organizes and participates in various charitable activities mostly related to mental health. Let’s get to know more about the genius artist’s life from her birth. 

Demi Lovato was born on August 20, 1992, in Albuquerque city in New Mexico. Then Lovato’s family moved to Texas, Dallas city. Small Demi was raised in the family of the former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader Dianna De La Garza and musician (also an engineer) Patrick Martin Lovato. Having an older sister Dallas and two half-sisters, Demetria is a middle child. Thanks to her parents, Demi Lovato’s descent is formed with more than 7 nationalities: Mexican, Spanish, American, Portuguese, Jewish, Irish, and English. Moreover, based on the result of DNA testing that was passed by Demi, she also has 16% Scandinavian descent and 1% of African descent.  

Demi's career began when she was only 10. How so? People had been able to recognize talent in small Demitria. In 2002, she'd been perfectly acting the role of Angela at the television series Barney & Friends for children. Before this, small Demetria had been diligently playing piano from 7 years old. Also, she began guitar, dancing, and acting classes at ten.  

Demi couldn't even imagine that she’ll get such a big success when she will be older. And her peers too. Unfortunately, the girl was hardly bullied by schoolmates due to her acting career. She was forced to leave school and go to study at home. Thus, in 2009 she got a high-school diploma through homeschooling.  

While she was a student, in 2007 Demi Lovato managed to get the role of the lead character for the film Camp Rock - young Mitchie Torres, the girl that was only at the start point of her singing career. In the same year, Demi also auditioned for the Disney Channel short series As the Bell Rings, wherein she played Charlotte Adams. A year later Lovato released her first studio album “Don't Forget”, with first-week sales of 89,000 copies. The debut album had got the gold certificate by RIAA. At the same time, sitcom Sonny with a Chance was successfully premiered wherein Demi played Sonny Munroe. Working very hard, in 2009 she released her second album " Here We Go Again” which was certified Platinum in the US and got a lot of positive reviews like its predecessor.  

As it was expected, Demi Lovato’s career hadn’t stop the rapid growth. At the age of 18, she brilliantly played the role of a teenager with schizophrenia in the sixth season of "Shiny Happy People". But very soon, Demi paused her acting career and departed from "Sony with a Chance". It’d happened after the widely known quarrel with a backup dancer. The point is that after this incident, she had been treated for bulimia and bipolar disorder. Of course, then she began to invest almost all energy in creating the incredible tracks. Becoming one of the most influential people in the world, she was invited to the American big show - The X Factor as a judge and mentor. Demi Lovato competed with Britney Spears, Simon Cowell, and L.A. leading her wards to the win. 

The next years of Demi's singing career were so saturated. On May 14, 2013, she released the fourth album that has been certified Gold in the US. The album’s "Neon Lights" and "Really Don't Care" singles had got hits very fast and were certified Platinum in the US as well as peaked at number one in the country's Dance Club Songs chart.

 

 Then in 2015, her fifth album "Confident" went out to the public and was awarded the second position on Billboards 200. 

 

Demi Lovato didn’t stop creating new tracks, and in 2017 she released "Sorry Not Sorry" as the first single from her sixth album titled Tell Me You Love Me. This song became her highest selling in the US for its 5x Platinum certification by RIAA. 

 

Now she’s still working on releasing the seventh studio album, but in 2020 she’d already made her fans happy with 3 new tracks: "Anyone", "I Love Me", and "I'm Ready".
