A world famous American singer, dancer and actress Beyonce was born 38 years ago in Texas in a family of creative people. Her father was professional at sound recording while her mom Tina Knowles was fond of fashion and costume design.

The majority of stage costumes Beyonce appeared in were created by her mother. Beyonce has also a younger sister Solange, who is as well as her elder sibling singer and dancer. Both girls have appearances of an exotic type as far as their ancestors were not only native Americans but also Afro-Americans and French.

Since her early childhood little beauty was interested in stage performances and thus she attended various choreography and singing lessons and circles, owning a good ear for music. At the age of 7, the girl faced the first serious recognition of her talent - she was nominated for The Sammy award and won a local vocal contest for schoolchildren. Besides the latter, young talent won 30 other awards . The girl also performed in a church choir for 2 years. Thus, being a teenager Beyonce had already had a great experience of a stage performance, knew how to behave in front of the audience and experimented a lot with her voice and timbre.

At secondary school, Beyonce joined the band “Girls Tyme” and became one of it’s 6 members. The band’s aim was to take part in a popular TV show “Star Search”. Unfortunately or not it failed to turn into reality and 2 girls left the group. As a result, a new band “Destiny’s Child” was formed and started its show business way from opening for popular R & B bands. But luckily at the end of the 20th century, 4 girls managed to sign a contract with a solid recording label “Columbia Records”. In a year they released their self-titled debut studio album. “Killing Time” single from the album was used as a soundtrack for the science fiction action comedy film “Men in Black” and their hit “No No No” got plenty of awards as the best R&B song.

A significant success came to “Destiny’s Child” with the release of their 2nd studio work “The Writing’s on the Wall” which received several platinum certifications and sold over 8 million copies worldwide. The album included such hit singles as “Bills, Bills, Bills”, “Say My Name”, “Bug a Boo”, “Jumpin,Jumpin”, “Temptation” etc, which brought the band their first Grammy award. Despite fame and recognition all over the world “Destiny’s Child” fell apart and a new group was formed staying under the same title. Beyonce remained a part of it. 3 more albums were released by the trio: “Survivor”, “8 Days of Christmas” and “Destiny Fulfilled”.

Beyonce’s solo career started in 2003 with the release of her debut studio album “Dangerously in Love”. The latter achieved great success: it was praised with 4 platinum certifications and managed to be placed on top of the Billboard music chart. But the most important thing is that Beyonce got 5 Grammys for it. Hit single “Crazy in Love” feat Jay-Z also appeared and stayed in the Billboard chart for 8 weeks ahead. Later on, it served as a soundtrack for the erotic romantic drama film “Fifty Shades of Grey”.

2006 was noticeable for the next studio recordings “B’Day” and a regular Grammy award. Beyonce also collaborated with a Colombian singer and songwriter Shakira to record a single “Beautiful Liar”.

The recording of her 3rd album “I Am… Sasha Fierce” went along with the shooting of the biographical drama film “Cadillac Records”. For this album, Beyonce received such awards as NAACP Image Award, BET Award and Billboard award.

Being the record woman of the decade with many songs reaching the Billboard Hot chart Beyonce also paid attention to the music videos. All of them are unique with separate ideas in the form of short stories resembling short films.

During the 2010s Beyonce actively collaborated with many of renowned stars: Pink, Britney Spears and Ed Sheeran.

The peak of an R&B star’s popularity and appreciation was in 2010 when she was nominated in 6 categories at the 52nd annual Grammy ceremony and won at 6 of them for the Best Female Pop and R&B Vocal Performance, Best R&B Song, Best Contemporary R&B Album, etc.

In 2016 the artist announced her own woman clothing line along with TopShop “IvyPark”. The same year she released another studio album “Lemonade”.However, the album did not receive the same dose of positive feedback from the critics as usual.

After hiatus, connected with the birth of twins Beyonce made an impressive come back on the Coachella music festival’s stage: she wore a great number of suits, sang with her husband Jay-Z, danced with her sister Solange and even reminded the audience about “Destiny’s Child” band via performing with other former members of it.

Besides her singing career Beyonce starred in 10 movies: “Carmen: A Hip Opera”, “The Fighting Temptations”, “Dreamgirls”, “Obsessed” etc and directed 4 ones: ”Life Is But A Dream”, “Beyonce: Lemonade”, “Homecoming” and “Black is King”.
